January 2008 marked the 3rd annual University wide celebrations honoring the legacy of Dr. King. We expanded the celebration to include two weeks of activities within the Virginia Tech and local community that are designed to focus on Dr. King and his legacy. This year, Virginia Tech was one of the 2008 King Day of Service subgrantees through the National Alliance of Faith and Justice and the Corporation for National and Community Service.

For more information about the 2008 Virginia Tech MLK Celebrations, please contact the Office of Multicultural Affairs at 540-231-1820 or Ray Plaza, Director of Diversity Initiatives at 540-231-7289 or rp25@vt.edu.
