Virginia Tech Principles of Community

 

 


SIGNING CEREMONY

On March 14, 2005, the Virginia Tech Principles of Community were officially adopted.

The Board of Visitors resolution containing the Principles of Community, “Commitment to a Diverse and Inclusive Community” was first discussed at the Academic Affairs Committee meeting. The Academic Affairs committee voted to recommend adoption by the full board.

At the Open meeting of the Board, the full board accepted the recommendation from the Academic Affairs Committee and the resolution was adopted. It was the passage of the resolution that established the Principles of Community as an official university document.

At the conclusion of the Board of Visitor’s meeting, the official signing ceremony took place. The signers of the document include:
